Microballoons, graphite on bottom, bright finish on sides and deck
Hi all,
I have been reading past posts on doing a graphite bottom and appreciate all of the detailed ideas and information about this subject. I have decided to use the graphite on the bottom two panels, and finish the rest of the hull and deck mostly with a bright finish. I was intrigued by the suggestion to also use microballoons on the bottom panels when I am filling the weave of the glass cloth.
My question how to effectively separate the side panels from the bottom panels during the process of filling the weave, since I assume I dont want to use the microballoons mixture on the side panels.
Can anyone give me some guidance on how this is best accomplished?
Thanks in advance

Just tape off the side panels. Clear packing tape works the best but painter's tape will do just fine.
