I'm in Minnesota working on my second session building the Jimmy Skiff 2. I live in Iowa but my woodworking shop is in Minnesota. So far the build is going about as expected for a first time CLC boat with no previous experience building boats. I have discovered that I might have been not conserving the fiberglass material. After saving off the 10 yards for the outside bottom and fiberglassing the inside bottom I have virtually no material left over. Now I see the daggerboard trunk assembly and the rudder needs fiberglass. Also I am assuming that a few very small holes near the bow are the alignment marks for the foredeck, they are not mentioned in the assembly manual, they seem to be correct when I test fit the foredeck.
All in all I'm happy with the quality of the materials and the instructions.
