I have put various types of designs and decals under glass and epoxy on surfboards with no issue. I can't imagine it would create a problem for you, however, I'm not sure what you mean by acrylic designs. If you're talking paint, just paint a small design on a piece of scap wood, add a small patch of glass and epoxy and see if the design stayed in place/didn't melt. If you have an acrylic decal or something, you can do the same thing with the scrap parts of the design if available (crop lines, TM symbol, etc.).
