Hatch stiffener needed for wood duck hybrid hatch?
CLC included a hatch stiffener with my hybrid kit. Since there is no mention of installing it in the manual, I am assuming it is used onl with the plywood deck hatch, but I just want to make sure.
Thanks.

Lou,
My hatch is complete and looks pretty darn strong. It would also be a shame to epoxy the stiffener to such a beautiful cedar stripped hatch

Rich,
Thats what they mean when they say, ( if it works, don't fix it ).

Hi Rich,
I am building a WD12 hybrid from plans. Your right, the stiffener is on the parts list but not at all in the manual.
I am going to see how stiff the hatch turns out when finished. It is 1/4 inch thick with glass on both sides so I am thinking that will be strong enough. If not, then I will deside what to do next.
