Overview
Experienced builders may add this package to the stock plans to strip-plank the Annapolis Wherry Tandem over a mold, rather than stitch-and-glue style.
Adding this option to the stock plans package gives you a mold diagram, plus full-sized patterns for the molds, stem, and transom. These drawings are intended to function as an appendix to the standard plans and manual, which you will still need for interior fit-out, proper bulkhead placement, and other details. These additional drawings allow advanced builders to construct a strip-planked hull shell, but are not stand-alone plans for the Annapolis Wherry Tandem.
The Annapolis Wherry Tandem manual does not include step-by-step instructions for this style of construction. Again, skilled experienced boatbuilders will grok this option, but beginning-to-intermediate builders should steer clear.
You'll need about 1400 lineal feet of 1/4" x 3/4" bead-and-cove strip material, plus some marine plywood for bulkheads and transom.
Note: These drawings come as one long sheet.
