Overview
18-gauge annealed wire. Comes in 50' rolls, instead of our normal 25' copper wire rolls. This wire is slightly tougher than our copper wire, but soft enough and easily pliable for stitch-and-glue boatbuilding. Ideal for stitching together stitch-and-glue boats built with thicker plywood, such as PocketShip, the Peeler Skiff, or the PT11. This is low-carbon steel wire that has been annealed to increase its ductility and decrease its hardness. These qualities result in higher flexibility without the loss of durability and better self-tying and self-locking capabilities than ordinary steel wire. Must be removed from the assembly after parts are fixed in place with epoxy.
Sold in 50 foot rolls; equivalent in length to [2] of our standard copper wire rolls
