Overview
One of Sam's customers owned a large cruising boat and needed a dinghy that could handle four adults, the family dog, gear, a powerful outboard, and still offer a rowing option. That’s a tall order for a compact design! In response, Sam created the Gosling 10.
Built for versatility, the Gosling 10 is the ideal tender: Rugged, stable, and capable of carrying heavy loads with ease. Whether you need a towable boat for fishing, a reliable skiff for beach landings, or a multi-purpose workhorse for all kinds of on-the-water adventures, the Gosling 10 is a smart and adaptable design. This skiff is ready to take on the world.
Kits for Devlin designs include traditional boat plans, and assume that builders are familiar with wood-epoxy boatbuilding and are comfortable working from drawings.

CLC is synonymous with stitch-and-glue boatbuilding, and our partnership with Sam Devlin and his company, Devlin Designing Boat Builders, is a natural fit. A pioneer in the stitch-and-glue method with 40 years of experience, Sam is passionate about helping people build boats. His designs are practical, beautiful, and unique, with something for every kind of boater. Together, we’re bringing Sam’s popular, meticulously crafted designs to life in kit form. Some of these are larger and more complex projects than those in CLC's catalog. All of them will delight builders who have the patience and passion to build them.
NOTE: Boat plans will need to be purchased from Devlin Builders, separately for all kit variations.
