Join veteran boatbuilder/instructor Andrew Schroeher for a comprehensive, three-hour hands-on introduction to working with paint & varnish in our well-equipped classroom workshop here in Annapolis.

Do you want to learn how to finish your stitch-and-glue boat or strip-built kayak like the pros? In this class, you'll learn how to prepare your CLC boat's surface properly and how to apply paint and varnish effectively. Slip on a pair of gloves and give it a go!

This is a 3-hour hands-on class. Students should expect to get paint & varnish on their clothing. We suggest wearing old clothing with long sleeves.

All students are required to bring a respirator with organic vapor cartridges. These items can be purchased ahead of time from CLC and made available upon arrival for the class.
