Overview
The manual-only option is for builders who want to study the process before taking up their tools. In its own right, the 300-page manual is a good read for anyone curious about stitch-and-glue boatbuilding. With almost 900 photos and diagrams and comprehensive explanations in plain English, no small craft has ever been documented quite so thoroughly. Written by John C. Harris and photographed by professional boatbuilder Geoff Kerr, the book is a great look at how a small professional wooden boat shop works, with lots of cool tips and tricks.
While the manual is expansive in detail, you'll still need the plans for all of the dimensions and patterns. When you come back for the plans or kit, just let us know you have the manual and we'll credit you the manual's cost.
