And the Winners Are: Photo Contest Results for September 30, 2025
First of all, many thanks to all who submitted one or more great shots of their beautiful CLC boats for the Photo Contest that we held in the third quarter of 2025. We were impressed with many more images than can be shown here, but we appreciate everyone's input, and your images will find their way to photo galleries and other spots over the next few months.
There were so many first-rate images our team members were hard-pressed to pick their favorites. When the votes were tallied, the winner, by a narrow margin, was this serene sunset view of a PT Spear dinghy (alongside her mothership) from Rob A. of Port Alberni, BC. "I launched my PT Spear on July 1st," Rob wrote. "She rows and sails beautifully and is a great additional tender to my sailboat. She fits nicely on the foredeck despite being non-nesting!" (Rob also sent in a photo of his Spear on the foredeck; click here to see it.) Congratulations, Rob, you've won this quarter's $150 gift card!
From the many great photos we received, there were nearly a dozen that particularly caught our attention, starting with this one from Gray T. of Nashville, TN, enjoying an afternoon of family fun on his freshly-launched Peeler Skiff.
There clearly was not enough breeze to sail in this shot, but conditions were perfect for an idyllic portrait of his PT Eleven from Seth L. of Cortland, OH.
while Marcus B. of Venice, FL, got points for originality with this shot of his Petrel Play and Kaholo 14 loaded up to head for the water (hope it's not far . . . ).
The photographers of the shots below were able to echo the beauty of their boats with the surrounding scenery.
The scenic background makes this over-the-bow view of his Sectional Shearwater Sport from Rich K. of Ankeny, IA, stand out.
The spans of the bridge and the deck of this Chesapeake 16 echo one another in this photograph by Shawn R. of York, PA.
Another Peeler Skiff portrait, this one from Robert S. of Wrightsville Beach, NC , was also popular,
as was this scenic view of a Sassafras 16 from Luke B. of Cranbury, NJ.
Yet another pretty picture of a PT Spear caught our eyes. This one is from Tim O. of Wasilla, AK,
Finally, Graham C. of Pinckney, MI sent in this impressive view of his fleet: Chesapeake 17, Shearwater 16, and Shearwater Double!
