Aspiring boatbuilders and wooden boat enthusiasts within a few hours' drive of Mystic, Connecticut, should join us for one of our favorite events of the year. We will have a select group of boats from our fleet—including our newest models—on hand for you to inspect.
The WoodenBoat Show is at Mystic Seaport, an active living-history museum featuring a recreated village, ships, and 17 acres of exhibits depicting 19th-century coastal life in New England. The official show website is here: WoodenBoat Show.
We'll have lots going on and plenty of boats on display. In the booth we'll have a full selection of boat plans, materials, and supplies—and great discounts on everything.
John Harris and Nick Schade will hold forth on technical aspects of boatbuilding—and we'll be demonstrating strip-building techniques on a boat in the booth all weekend. John's schedule includes technical seminars as well.
Cocktail Class Wooden Boat Racing Association will be on hand, too, with a fleet of these ridiculously fun speedsters, and they'll be competing for real on the river on Friday, with a high probability of some on-water demos taking place throughout the weekend as well.
Got a CLC boat you're proud of? Bring it with you and enter it into the I Built It Myself exhibit. Don't forget you can exhibit, too! We're looking forward to seeing what you've brought!
