Photo Contest June 2026

Photo Contest June 2026

And the Winners Are:
Photo Contest Results for June 30, 2026

Many thanks to all who submitted one or more great shots of their beautiful CLC boats for the Photo Contest that we held in the second quarter of 2026. We appreciate everyone's input, and your images will find their way to photo galleries and other spots over the next few months!

This quarter, there were so many great images that our team was hard-pressed to agree on their overall favorites. One floated cleanly to the top, however: this lovely image from Michael C. of West Glens Falls, NY, of a pleasant paddle in his beautiful Nymph Canoe.

Congratulations, Michael, you're the winner of this quarter's $150 CLC store credit! Scroll down for more lovely pics.

The whole team loved the pic of "capacity testing" a new Eastport Ultralight from Paul D. of Santa Barbara, California.

"During Covid, when schools were closed, a family down the street started a 6th Grade 'Pod,' even hiring a great furloughed teacher," Paul wrote. "Having already built an Annapolis Wherry, I asked if they might need a Wood Shop class. We had a blast.  None of them had ever used a saw or sand paper, no less resin and fiberglass.

"Before we launched in the Carmel River Lagoon, the boys asked: 'will we all fit?' I said: 'The boat will hold 400 pounds.' They looked at each other and totaled up their weights - YES! Took off their shirts and climbed in."

More kids having fun with boats: this image of young enthusiasts helping Dad with his Northeaster Dory, from Greg & Holly D of Worcester, Massachusetts.

Everyone loved this image that Manny L of Coupeville, Washington took from his Faering Cruiser.

This is a terrific action shot of his Oxford Shell II from the inaugural Ocean State Crossing last August, sent in by Colin G of Warwick, Rhode Island. The race ran from Point Judith RI across the mouth of Narragansett Bay, finishing in Newport; this year's contest will be held August 15.

Here's Californian Peyton H's Shearwater 17.

A nice image from Michael J. of Oak Harbor, Washington of the Skerry built by his daughter.

Joerg R of Coral Gables, Florida, sent along this beauty shot of his Wood Duck 10.

Here's a launch photo from John J of Penticton, British Columbia of his PocketShip.

Steve Q from Mount Vernon, Washington sent in this photo of his two Wood Duck 12 Hybrids.

This is an Annapolis Wherry dockside from Allan L in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

Here's a Sassafras 12 in the dense fog of Donner Lake, California submitted by Mike E.

Another beautiful Nymph 12 Canoe by Matt S in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

Ian shared his Passagemaker Dinghy, ready to launch in Bermuda.

Thanks to all who sent us photos! Please keep the great shots of your beautiful CLC boats coming in. The next contest closes at the end of September, when we'll award another $150 prize! Send your images—please, no more than 3 per submission—to photos@clcboats.com.
